About Us

Since the age of 14, I became interested in natural skincare since I had a severe case of acne and xerosis from years of swimming and sunbathing without using sunscreen. At the age of 21, I had a number of different food and environmental allergies and realized that it was time to change my lifestyle. I ate a conventional diet along with the addition of several different “junk foods.” Not only did it take a toll on my skin, but I also felt lethargic at times and hyperactive when I drank caffeinated beverages. At college, I met a friend and she recommended that I adapt to a natural foods diet and take nutritional supplements to help fortify my new diet. I visited a holistic physician and he informed me that I was indeed deficient in several nutrients. He prescribed a protocol that not only improved my health, but most importantly revitalized my skin.

womanwithflowers During this time, I began to subscribe to many natural health magazines, and began to listen to several radio programs that dealt with natural approaches to skincare and alternative treatments for disease. Over the years, I have also read and collected a library of books from many well known authors such as Rachel Perry, Dale Alexander, Paul Bragg, Dr. Paavo Airola, Dr. Perricone, Jeanne Rose and Valerie Worwood. In addition, I also have a collection of books written by holistic physicians and naturopaths dealing with the prevention and treatment of disease from a holistic perspective.

Since the age of 21, I have only used natural and organic skincare products on my skin, and as a result have maintained a more healthy and youthful complexion. In carefully selecting the different companies on my website, I have painstakingly chosen only those who are totally ethical, and do not use any chemicals or test any of their products on animals. None of the products on my site contain synthetic colors, fragrances or preservatives, and several of them are organically derived. It is not only important that these skin care products contain botanicals and essential oils; they must also be chemical free! I stand by these companies because many of them practice organic farming techniques, are ethical, and most of them have been in business over 10 years.

In many skincare formulas, water is the first constituent denoted in the list of ingredients in the product. In several of our products, aloe vera is the first ingredient listed in the product, and this is not only more beneficial for our skin, but it also costs more to manufacture that type of product. I do not recommend any products that are watered down, or use expensive advertising tactics in order to hype up and promote their products.

The companies that I represent are individually owned and do not use fancy advertising to promote their products but instead focus their attention on using the highest quality ingredients along with state of the art manufacturing procedures.

I have been using and researching natural skincare and alternative healing systems for the past 28 years and only promote those skincare companies that I would only use myself and for my family. Please read through the pages of our site and gain knowledge about the different skin conditions that exist along with the natural treatment options available to help deal with those issues.

Wishing you and your loved ones the best always and improved skin health.

Sincerely,
Joe Giordano
