Natural Cellulite Treatments Are Showing Promising Results In The Treatment Of Cellulite

For several decades, many women have sought out various cellulite treatments in order to help them deal with their unsightly skin condition. During the summer months, many women like to frequent the beach. This can be an uncomfortable situation for some women since they have to conceal areas of their body where it may occur. It is normally found on the thighs, buttocks, and abdomen. Many women refrain from wearing a bathing suit but instead wear shorts or a tee shirt in order to cover up this skin condition. There are several treatments available, and some have helped to one degree or another. There are natural and surgical treatments available for this condition and after speaking with your dermatologist you can best determine together what your best options are.

One of the major theories as to the cause of cellulite is that those afflicted have higher than normal levels of the hormone estrogen.

There have been many causes proposed as to why cellulite occurs. Many have thought that this condition results as a consequence of being obese. This is not totally true since people of normal weight also have this problem. This hormonal imbalance may be the reason why this condition is also found in slim people. Secondly, hereditary factors may also be a cause for this condition. We are often warned about the dangers of smoking, and not only has it been linked to causing wrinkles, it has been shown to affect our circulatory system by damaging our capillaries. In our skin, we have connective tissue, and its breakdown causes a dimpling effect on our skin. Thirdly, there is a percentage of the population throughout the world that lives a sedentary lifestyle. This is not only bad for health, but also worsens the condition of cellulite. This occurs because those that don’t exercise their skin will appear loose in the areas of the abdomen, thighs, and buttocks. Though people who are slim may still have cellulite, it will not be as pronounced as those who are overweight. A combination of different cellulite treatments, along with a proper diet, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle may increase your chances of treating this condition successfully.

Both of these cellulite treatments (massage and lymphatic drainage) have not been shown to help treat this condition effectively.

It is a relaxing experience and it has several health benefits. In my case, it has been helpful in reducing muscle aches and spasms, improve circulation, and reduce pain in my lower back. Along with massage therapy, some may have received a different type of massage known as lymphatic drainage, which helps remove fluid in the body. Also you may be familiar with body wraps, and this involves applying mud or herbal extracts to the desired areas where cellulite is present. The skin is brushed and massaged and the individual is either wrapped in linens or cellophane. This treatment has been shown to soften the skin, but it has not been shown to effectively treat cellulite.

A second treatment that is FDA approved and is used to treat this condition is called endermology. This type of treatment uses a machine that moves over selected areas of the skin to help increase circulation and reduce fat cells. It has been found to improve this condition and tighten the skin. Several sessions are necessary in order to produce a significant improvement with this condition.

Of all the cellulite treatments, the one that has shown to have a good success rate is a procedure called Mesotherapy.

This treatment is non-surgical and involves the injection of a medication into desired areas of the skin. The drugs used in this treatment increase blood flow and break down fat cells. This highly effective treatment can now be administered without the use of needles or injections. Several treatments are said to be necessary in order to achieve the desired effect. Fortunately, there are only a few minor side effects such as bruising and swelling associated with this procedure. One drawback of this treatment is its cost, and will run the patient about $3,000.00. Annual visits are necessary to maintain the desired effect. Since this is a cosmetic treatment, it will not be covered under your insurance policy. In order to help cover the cost of this treatment, you should consider financing.

Natural cellulite treatments are less expensive and invasive compared to conventional treatments for this condition.

For those that wish to use a more natural approach in treating this condition, there are several botanicals and natural compounds available. One of these natural substances is derived from the seeds of grapes, and this grapeseed extract has been shown to be helpful in preventing the collagen in our skin from breaking down. The herbal plant coleus forskohlii originally was grown in India, but now is cultivated throughout the world. It has been used in the treatment of asthma and glaucoma, but now has been used in cellulite treatments. It has been shown to break down fat cells and is added to anti-cellulite skin creams. As we know, caffeine is a stimulant and is found in beverages such as coffee and coca cola. It is added to anti-cellulite creams and is found to be helpful in reducing puffy skin. It also firms and improves the appearance of cellulite. Lastly, a tri peptide named tri peptide 1 has been discovered to be effective in cellulite treatments. There are three amino acids; specifically histidine, lysine, and glycerine that not only prevent cellulite, but also help reduce it. The major benefit of these natural cellulite treatments is that they are predominantly free of side effects and much less expensive than the medical procedures currently available.
