Natural Skincare Blog
The Natural Skincare Blog focuses on the benefits of using natural skincare products as opposed to the chemical-based conventional formulas that are commonly found in most stores.
True natural skincare products do not contain synthetic preservatives such as methylparaben and propylparaben. Instead, they contain natural preservatives such as grapefruit seed extract, Vitamins A,C, and E, and potassium sorbate.
Some natural skincare products are "certified organic". This signifies that 95% of its ingredients must be derived from plants or other natural compounds that were not treated with chemical pesticides and herbicides.
Chemical-based formulas contain synthetic fragrances, and these compounds may cause skin irritation and allergic reactions in some people. Natural and organic skincare products normally use essential oils as fragrances in their formulas. For the most part, these natural fragrances do not cause any negative skin reactions with the exception of lavender. This essential oil not only has a pleasant fragrance, but also has a calming effect on the nerves. However, some people may be allergic to this essential oil and, as a result of this, may experience allergic reactions.
